Where has the time gone...

Ok so I have been rather slack and not updated this for a while. So to bring you up yo date the baby is 1year old and walking. Started walking 2 weeks before his birthday. So now at 13months he is running. Into everything and nothing is safe. Especially beer bottles. Steve and I are enjoying this new stage as we get to take him out more and do more things with him he loves going to the park behind our house and watches all the big boys play rugby, loves the swings and has no fear. He's not so great at feeding the ducks at nan and grandad's as its fun to eat the duck bread but he can make duck noises which is funny to hear. Is really into his books and will bring you books too read to him and is quite happy to sit and listen and turn pages. Still loves his friends Pooh and Tigger and his girl friend Darby who he gives kisses too when he see her in his book. (that pages has had more dribble on it then you can poke a stick at) So ask us where the last year has gone and I can honestly tell you I have no idea. My wee baby boy has grown up to this strapping strong toddler.

Crawling....

Yes its that time already.
Harry is a very speedy crawling now. So you have to have eyes in the back of your head.
He was very interested in the cat bowls the other day so had to quickly take those off him as they hadn't quite finished there breakfast. Neither to say that Ralph didn't look to happy that the baby was playing with his bowl.
Other than the crawling and the teething. Harry is doing well. Loves his food and can yell mumma, dadda and bubba.
Why oh why did someone not warn me how horrid the teething process can be??

Harrison's Naming Day

Harrison's naming on Saturday was a fantastic day. Steve made and honest women out of me and Mr and Mrs Burt is now official. the naming day had been planned since Harrison was 6 weeks old and 2 weeks ago Steve and I went to a surprise engagement and then 10 min later they were married. which inspired Steve and I to do something similar on the naming day. So it took 2 weeks to sort it all out and then try and keep it as quiet as possible.
It was a no fuss job with next to no stress and that's what worked best for us.
Stay tune for more photo's

Is he not the most cutest baby...

5 Months on.

Well we have a 5 month old now and boy does he keep us both on our toes. He is great fun and makes us laugh. I have experienced the boy's love of food first hand. He also loves to blow raspberries at me with a mouth full of food. Baby rice in your eye is not all that fun.
No need for me to go to the gym as I have my own set of weights here. Harry is getting pretty heavy these days and picking him up from the floor requires the knees to be bent. So here is the little man almost in his birthday suit before a bath.
And the finishing product...

OK so now that we are getting older we are getting a little bit of our own Independence. Won't be too long before he's holding a glass one with that fizzy brown ale stuff inside.

Our favourite little man has a favourite toy. Tigger. So baby tigger PJ's courtesy of Aunty Jess.

At Long Last

Well yes its been a while since iv had the time to pop on here and do an up date. But the life has been rather crazy busy round here.
I'm back at work now and juggling work, Harrison and running the house has been rather a lot to take on. Have decided to give up my job in town and have got a part time job up here in Paraparaumu which has been good no commute to town. But it did came with 5 weeks full time work to learn the ropes which is now over thank god. Trust me I was counting down the weeks as its was pretty hard going.
Now as a possible result of running myself into the ground I have been struck down with whooping cough and stuck inside for another 4 days. Being quarantined is certainly no fun. Whole house is on anti bio tics and poor Harrison had to have his 5 month injections just to make sure he was fully immunized for it.
Steve is now working up here. His last day in town was Monday and he starts hes new job next Wednesday. I bet he didn't count on me being home to ruin his TV time.
Harrison is doing well is loving his solids and is just a happy little chappy. Has just started to show signs of teething which will be fun and drool and dribble is just great especially when they wipe it all over you.

Horsey rides. Nan did this with him and he loves it. Until you stop...

Harrison with Dobbyn the cat who would not go anywhere near him when he was born... Now he won't leave Harry alone.

Harrison after solids. Likes the fruit... Not so keen on the veggies yet...

Weekend with Aunty Jac

3 Month old injections tomorrow...(should be fun) and a weigh in with plunket... I'm putting my money on him being at least 7.5kgs. I certainly don't need to buy any arm weights that's for sure.

Mum was made redundant for a couple of days as Aunty Jac came down from Auckland to spend the weekend with her baby nephew.

Hurricane Harrison

Well we were not too impressed with last weeks result of the Super 14 Semi final.
But the Hurricanes were well supported.

Dare I say it and it almost makes me sick saying it.... Go the Chiefs...
